CLI reference / host / run-attached

stado host run-attached

Invocation

stado host run-attached [OPTIONS] --program <PROGRAM> <TARGET>

Purpose

Run one executable from a managed run tree with this process's standard input, output, and error attached. SIGHUP, SIGINT, and SIGTERM received by Stado are forwarded to the remote program. Arguments are ordinary process arguments; sensitive input belongs on stdin and never in `--arg`.

Required inputs and options

Input or optionContract
<TARGET>Positional input; required or optional as shown in the invocation.
--program <PROGRAM>Absolute executable path below `$HOME/.stado/work/runs`
--arg <ARGUMENTS>Non-secret program argument; repeat for each argument
--jsonCapture the program's streams and exit status in one JSON receipt instead of forwarding its output live

Output and state effect

It performs the operation described above and emits its operator result on standard output or standard error. Any state change is limited to the resources and records named by the purpose and options on this page.

Refusals

  • Before dispatch, Stado refuses a missing required token shown in the invocation, an unknown option, or a value outside a listed value set; argument-usage failures exit with code 2.
