Invocation

stado host user create [OPTIONS] <USERNAME>

Purpose

Create USERNAME on selected registry-managed hosts over SSH

Required inputs and options

--target <TARGET>Registry target name. Repeat to provision several hosts
--allProvision every kind=local registry target with SSH configured
--full-name <FULL_NAME>Account display name
--shell <SHELL>Absolute login shell; host OS default if omitted [default: ""]
--adminCreate an administrator account instead of a standard user
--require-password-changeRequire the new user to change the initial password on first login
--dry-runValidate and list targets without connecting
--registry-source <REGISTRY_SOURCE>[default: gcs] [possible values: gcs, local, auto]

Output and state effect

It performs the operation described above and emits its operator result on standard output or standard error. Any state change is limited to the resources and records named by the purpose and options on this page.

Refusals

  • Require the new user to change the initial password on first login
  • Before dispatch, Stado refuses a missing required token shown in the invocation, an unknown option, or a value outside a listed value set; argument-usage failures exit with code 2.
