stado product crx3

Invocation

stado product crx3 [OPTIONS] --extension <extension> --key <key> --expected-id <expected-id> --codebase <codebase> --version <version> --crx <crx> --update-manifest <update-manifest>

Purpose

Pack a browser extension directory as a signed CRX3 and its Omaha update manifest, refusing a key whose extension id is not the pinned one

Required inputs and options

Input or optionContract
--catalog <catalog>Independent authoritative catalog path
--extension <extension>The unpacked extension directory
--key <key>The RSA private key (PEM) that signs it

--version <version>The version written into manifest.json and the update manifest
--crx <crx>Where the .crx is written

Output and state effect

It performs the operation described above and emits its operator result on standard output or standard error. Any state change is limited to the resources and records named by the purpose and options on this page.

Refusals

  • The extension id the key must produce
  • Before dispatch, Stado refuses a missing required token shown in the invocation, an unknown option, or a value outside a listed value set; argument-usage failures exit with code 2.
