CLI reference / product / finish

stado product finish

Invocation

stado product finish [OPTIONS] --surface <surface> <PRODUCT>

Purpose

Finish, with this binary, an installation whose build an install retained after its quality gates and build passed: sign, stage, place and activate it without building again. An installation of the running Stado hands its built Stado this step; a revision with no retained build is refused

Required inputs and options

Input or optionContract
<PRODUCT>Positional input; required or optional as shown in the invocation.
--catalog <catalog>Independent authoritative catalog path
--surface <surface>Product installation surface [possible values: cli, desktop, service]
--host <host>Stado host for a service surface
--workspace <workspace>The workspace of canonical checkouts this operation reads and builds from; default WISENT_WORKSPACE, else ~/Documents/CodingProjects/Wisent
--jsonPrint lifecycle state and observed readiness
--waitRun after another process changing this surface instead of superseding it: without --wait a holder still preparing is stopped and replaced, a holder already placing files is waited for
--release-version <release-version>Install this exact qualified release version
--source-commit <source-commit>Full source commit. With --release-version, the commit bound to that qualified release; alone, the exact canonical commit a source build installs, whatever origin/main has moved to since
--without <without>Comma-separated products this machine does without; a dependency on one is skipped only when the catalogue declares its alternative, and the choice is kept for later updates
--signing-keychain <signing-keychain>Sign darwin native code with an identity from this local keychain (WISENT_CODESIGN_KEYCHAIN for this invocation). A catalog recipe's signing_keychain requires that exact keychain; a role or PEM pair cannot replace it. The fleet signing role is not read
--signing-identity <signing-identity>The signing identity, by its name or SHA-1 (WISENT_CODESIGN_IDENTITY for this invocation): required to change the identity the installed code is signed by, or to pick one from a keychain holding several; the report names the change
--check-argumentsCheck this command line (required pairs such as --release-version with --source-commit, the product and the surface) and exit without installing

Output and state effect

It performs the operation described above and emits its operator result on standard output or standard error. Any state change is limited to the resources and records named by the purpose and options on this page.

Refusals

  • A catalog recipe's signing_keychain requires that exact keychain; a role or PEM pair cannot replace it.
  • The signing identity, by its name or SHA-1 (WISENT_CODESIGN_IDENTITY for this invocation): required to change the identity the installed code is signed by, or to pick one from a keychain holding several; the report names the change
  • Check this command line (required pairs such as --release-version with --source-commit, the product and the surface) and exit without installing
  • Before dispatch, Stado refuses a missing required token shown in the invocation, an unknown option, or a value outside a listed value set; argument-usage failures exit with code 2.
