CLI reference / waits

stado waits

Invocation

stado waits [OPTIONS] [COMMAND]

Purpose

List the waits open on this machine, from the register every Stado wait keeps (`$STADO_WAITS_DIR` or ~/.stado/waits); a wait whose process no longer runs is reported ended and removed. `open` registers a wait for another process; `close` removes one; `cycles` names every lock-wait cycle standing on this machine

Output and state effect

This command group selects one of the subcommands listed below; use its exact child invocation to perform an operation.

Refusals

  • Before dispatch, Stado refuses a missing required token shown in the invocation, an unknown option, or a value outside a listed value set; argument-usage failures exit with code 2.

Subcommands

  • open — Register for process --pid a wait on --kind (one of the register's `rodzaj` words: siec, object-api, host, blokada, proces, baza, terminal, zgoda, sesja), for --what at --where. It ends when that process does or with `stado waits close <id>`
  • close — Remove the wait <id> from the register: it ended
  • cycles — Every cycle standing among this machine's lock waits: a process waiting on a lock held, directly or through other lock waits, by a process whose completion needs it. Each link names the process, its command, the lock it waits on and who holds that lock. Fails with the refusal status when any cycle stands
